How to feed correctly?

As already known, animals are fed in two stages. The first of these is to prepare a feeding plan according to their nutritional needs. On the other hand, the second stage is to apply correct feeding according to this plan. Both stages are equally important. However, the most frequent mistake is observed in feeding.

There are three types of feeds: the calculated feed, feed placed in trailers and feed served to animals. If all these differ among each other, it means that something is going wrong. This is the most significant subject to be considered by producers for mistakes may lead to poor productivity and negative effects due to uncontrolled feeding.

As you may know, the animals with tripe have bacterial digestion. Feeds are processed by billions of bacteria in tripe to make it digestible by the animal, then mix with blood and turns into other products such as meat or milk. 85% of the energy used by these animals is supplied by the volatile fatty acids produced by the tripe bacteria. Furthermore, the tripe bacteria transform the simple proteins in feeds into high quality proteins from which the animals can benefit from. That is, it is necessary for tripe bacteria to function very well. Actually, we need to ensure correct feeding and proper functioning of bacteria rather than animals.

In this sense, the most important thing to do in order to ensure proper functioning of the tripe bacteria is to load feed trailer correctly according to the feeding plan and to deliver feeds to troughs after homogeneous mixing. The changes in the composition of feeds disturb the working environment. It is necessary to ensure that each morsel has the same composition with another.
